I would be bad at adventuring

Picking spells for a spell list is all
oooh, cool, great, fascinatin!
... wait, at some point, there will be a fight...

I think this fiction sorcerer might multiclass just to get some skill in not dying
in between casting all these cool fun spells
that would do no damage.

But like, players have a rulebook and a class progression table and a view of how it all works, plus a reasonable expectation of how things are likely to go.

Actual people would be like, oh hey, it seems I can so magic, wow, maybe I shall use it to mindlink to my friends or just stay awake a truly unreasonable length of time... wait a minute, I'm being attacked by a What now?

Like, they dont know this is act one scene one high school horror story, they just... can do neat things.

So I feel like all the sorcerers that can just set stuff on fire with their brains
possibly have Issues?
and also a large repair budget.

It's hard enough keeping all the characters vaguely in the conversation
now I just realised I have set up a fight scene with ten people in it
before the bad guys even arrive.
