(no subject)

Today I have been writing, and the words in Scrivener have definitely passed 50,000 , but one bit is labelled 'too much talking doesnt work' and I do not currently know how to fix it.

I quite like the fight sequence I just wrote, but it's not quite right yet, and the talking leading up to it doesnt really get there yet. one draft was too angry and one draft was too calm and everyone keeps having their issues try to be in the conversation and there are too many people in the scene and I am currently trying to decide between a silence spell and having them stuck the other side of the doors with a locking spell on it, because otherwise a whole bunch of people just... stop talking because I havent got anything for them to do.

also it was a very good arse kicking but it's a bit emotionally unsatisfying when aimed at the current target and attempts to fix that keep changing the tone wildly.

double boo.


I would like to keep writing but I am pretty sure I need to sleep.

Maybe it will be obvious to fix tomorrow.


... might start with the bad guy summoning some scroll monsters just to keep those silent people busy, that's a very bad guy thing to do...
