Jun. 26th, 2022 09:53 pmToday has not been a great day, just stuck in my head going over old plots and not actually improving them.
I tried Just Do Something Else but the games I have are boring and I dont like Dont Starve, still, even when I found out in Dont Starve Together you can set it so you just be a ghost and come back again. The controls are just different enough I have to relearn them and it tells you to use buttons my xbox controller doesnt has.
I think I should try some writing again. I havent touched the book I did a draft of earlier this year, I could do a second draft now. Or think of a new plot and start again.
... old plots havent left my brain for like a quarter century so far, I'm not sure New Plot is, in some ways, possible. They all end up being about rescuing characters their plots left behind.
Ah well.
I need to start a character at the beginning, and work on that thing where I want to Do All The Things Myself, instead of team up. Make a team up out of people who can do small things each, like we're supposed to.
... I kind of want to go play Kingmaker again except it will still be broken (still, more than a year after last time they bothered trying to fix it). It was a good game apart from the crashing a lot and losing your saves, which, you know, means it's bad-frustrating instead of bad-boring. And it gets so close to not actually being unplayable I keep going back to it. Ugh.
I'll go try and think of a plot that does not involve time travel or Deck of Many Things related shortcuts.
