I went to college this morning and came back now. That's a whole day of college. I win!

I could start out of the house after it got light because there was no lesson, just appointments. So I finished doing All The Reading (well, I thought all, Teacher has told me some more also relevant reading to do). Then I got the bus in, then went on the computers and typed a first draft of my Life Writing critical commentary. It needs a lot of work but I have until the 17th. Teach read it and no longer thinks I'm going to fail. I have successfully explained Why Zombies. The rest is quotes and squishing the word count down.

After that I went back on the computers and started printing out stuff for my dissertation. I have tiny amounts of stuff. It's sad. But! I waited around doing more reading and highlighting of said tiny amounts of stuff, and there was some time to talk to my tutor. So I explained again about the zombie brain issue, and then showed my box of stuff. It is good start. Now I just need to do, oh, about a whole semesters worth, just to catch up. *big sigh* But I successfully stayed in contact with tutor. Some people have been failing to do the work and then hiding from their tutor, and that doesn't work very well at all. It's not like he'll get annoyed, he's all encouraging and stuff. It's just... it's going to be really uphill to get this done. Really uphill. *bigger sigh*

With that done I wandered into the shops and bought some martial arts movies I've had on my recorder box for ages. Yes, that means I already had copies, but now I have copies on DVD with pretty covers. The queue in HMV was looooooooong. I've never actually been in a queue in there before. Christmas shopping has landed, I guess.
Also, accessability fail: I saw a guy in a wheelchair at the top of the steps in the front part of the shop. He could select DVDs, but not get them to the checkout. Unless he went out and in again, and the beepy shoplifter alarms disapprove of that.

After that I went to the other bit of City College and read all the things. I got a stack of books together and went looking for something I'm sure I've read. Something about monster pregnancies. It was in a book with Science Fiction in the title. Unfortunately I read all of those for fun long before this particular project, and didn't make notes of this particular thing my brain now insists exists. So I looked through and found likely bits and photocopied a ton of stuff and brought it home to read later.

Then I went and apologised to the librarian for the big stack of books I'd left on the upstairs desk, but I was all out of lift, carry, and use the stairs today. I can use the lift, but not without setting the beepy thing off to get the books in and out. If I'd taken them all out on my card, gone out to the lift, and gone back in with them upstairs, it would actually have been simpler. But I was all Stair Climbing With Books Adventure on the way up. Then pretty much all my parts informed me that was a silly idea and we would not do it again.

I hurt everywhere below my shoulders except my arms. All the bending bits are quite annoyed at me. I should probably not have carried all the things today.

I filled in the finance forms and put them where they're meant to be and then went and apologised to the finance office and they put a note on my file that I'm doing something about it so I won't get no more red letters for a bit. I'm very very late indeed with all that all. But now it is in progress.

Stupid life to the stupid office wasn't stupid working. Out Of Service. There are a lot of stairs when the lifts are out of service.

I am not best pleased with stairs. The steps outside my flats still keep trying to trip me up. Too tall step, stumbling and hauling myself up on the hand rail, very annoying.

Now I am home and trying to decide if I'll order chinese food for dinner. I have quorn bolognese so I'll probably just eat that, but I feel like celebrating. Not only have I finished all the parts of college where I need to actually turn up in person, I have done a full day of Doing Things for the first time in months. Big win. Possibly requires noodles.

Noodles only start at 5pm so I'll have time to think about it.

Lots of win today. Got things done. Is good.

Now to hope my brain remains functional for long enough to get a bright idea for my dissertation.
It's so nice when it works. I get so much done. *xfingers*
