Same usual things

beccaelizabethCleaner day happened and worked. Yaays. Cleaner will be on holiday for two weeks so for two weeks I'll get a different cleaner.
Now it is food delivery time. They just phoned me to say they can't find my building. Google maps can find my building so I don't quite understand why they can't. So I found it on google maps and read off the nearby roads. I anticipate being phoned back again when they're closer. They said half an hour.
ETA: They found the place :) ... they didn't bring much of the stuff :-(
None of my juices or drinks. No Ribena, no mango, no citrus. They substituted blackcurrant Ribena with strawberry Oasis. I am allergic to strawberry. They didn't sub mango or citrus drinks at all. Why? Is there only Five Alive citrus in the whole world? Experience suggests when it do get substituted they put in summer fruits five alive instead, which again, strawberries. Why?? How can I tell them to give me ORANGE or MANGO? Does the shop have zero sorts?
... okay, I'm over it. I'm just hot, tired, and down to my last bottle of drink. After this, only the sort of Ribena that needs diluting from the tap. Not an emergency, just not my nice drink resupply I ordered. 3 sorts! all missing. /ETA
I watched 'The White Queen', all of it so far at once. It's pretty boring. It feels too fast to really know any of the characters or care what happens to them. It's a lot about women and marriage and kids, and there are battles but we don't go and see them we stay with the women who get the fun of wondering who will turn up at the door afterwards and probably want to kill them. So it's the Queen's eye view of history. Also there's maybe magic? Mostly there's people being desperate and having no options for action, so they pray or do magic, it doesn't seem very effective, it's not like it's a fantasy story with fireballs. It's pretty depressing so far. I know history tends to be but I don't think I can think of a reason to keep watching it be depressing. Also any episode is likely to cover years of stuff happening, they've had one set of kids nearly grow up so far, and like I said, hard to care when it skims so fast. Plus if you know history there's Spoilers. Well actually it seems to depend on knowing history for you to give a damn about large areas of plot, but still, why are we watching when we know all that happens? Because we're watching the women?
I'm bored. But not as bored as I was with The Returned. I watched a couple of episodes and couldn't see the point of it yet, so I stopped recording it.
Possibly I need plots shaped like Doctor Who or Stargate or I won't see the point? That's annoying. I mean, I complain that there aren't many problems you can hit until they fall down, and then I get bored of stories that don't involve hitting things until they fall down. *facepalm* Still, I like starships and swords and big swooping plots with a metaphor layer. If there's just people getting married and being mostly miserable about it then I do not so much like.
And yet most of my lately story ideas are like sending a bunch of people to a planet... to get married and have kids and possibly not be miserable about it.
There's that famous thing I can't currently remember about how happy families are all the same and miserable families are all their very own sort. It's like an excuse to only write about the miserable ones. I keep thinking I must be remembering it wrong because misery looks pretty samelike to me. And happy is hard, there's so many things to juggle to make happy. Like trying to get a happy ending for Xavier and Magneto, or Giles and Ethan, or Wonder Woman in man's world. It's not like, tada, happily ever after! There's so much needs sorting out first. But trying to be happy is the twisty rubber band keeping it all going.
I want to write about people being happy, because it seems very difficult from here.
