beccaelizabethToday I got done none of the things I had decided yesterday to do.
I spent all morning and some of the afternoon looking at ever more websites trying to find a recliner I actually like that costs less than £700. On the plus side the previous best recliner I'd found costs £1200, so £700 is in fact an improvement. On the not so good side, until it's a price where I won't go ballistic when my brother gets ink on it, it's no good to me. So the upshot of all my browsing was finding the one that has been sitting in my browser for months now remains the only acceptable one.
I did not arrange to have the old recliners taken away. That happens on Tuesdays so for all I know Monday is late to do that anyway. I shall take up the task again when phone lines are open and get it sorted.
... listing what I didn't do could take a while. *sigh*
But I did go through my plastic chest of drawers and rearrange things until only one draw is still in use. And I think I can get that one out into other places too. Then I can get rid of the broken plastic furniture.
[ETA 8pm finished redistributing the contents of the remaining drawers. Win!]
I like my nice new oak furniture. Which is good, given how much I spent on it.
I keep finding sparkly things and shiny bits that are very nice in themselves but which I haven't used since 2000 or whatever. Sorting is difficult though, there's always reasons to keep things if you think about it. But getting rid of things makes space for more useful things. Also for beccas. There was for a while not really space for beccas in here. Now I'm confident I can invite two whole people and have room for all of us. Not at this precise moment decent seating, but room. So that's nice.
Okay. Maybe tomorrow will be more productive.
Wait, self, you did most of the monday tasks and three loads of laundry today and hung up two of them, that's plenty productive. Just not what was in the plan.
Plan can chug along steadily. Onwards.
