Robot vacuum cleaner needs charging for twelve hours before first use
so it will be ready about one in the morning.

Also it says it will eat power cords and pull things down, which I had not considered. So it will need careful preparation and supervision.

But it could still be good if I'm more likely to use it than I am to use the regular vacuum, so, shall see.

I'm a big fan of carpet sweepers--they cost less than a vacuum, you can use them on rugs or bare floors, they don't have power cords, and THEY DON'T MAKE ANY NOISE. Something to consider if your robot cleaner doesn't do what you want.
