beccaelizabethActual plural people at the SF Group today! And we were discussing LGBT characters in SF, because it was Pride at the weekend.
... one guy decided to argue that people who don't want to serve LGBT people, for instance cake or B&Bs, should be allowed to. I do not feel this was in the spirit of on topic for a SF group. I also had to ask nicely for us to talk about Not Politics, which only vaguely worked.
But I did get to mention Legends of Tomorrow and Torchwood and talk about Doctor Who (same guy said the new companions look like a box ticking exercise, and defended his position whilst being all not that he objects, it's just like they ticked all the boxes) (we get it, dude, but we have also stated our different opinions) (I like it when they tick the boxes).
Also talked some books and games and it was pretty successful conversation. And no munchkin because talking the whole time. Which is a win.
Pretty neat evening.
Now I shall spend some hours sitting and trying to unwind from all the Humans and Talking
... fun has such a long wrapper of not fun, is exhausting.
But talking is pretty good.
