good news for today

beccaelizabethI had been worried my eyes were going Horribly Wrong
because even when I turned the roomlights out
the TV was not bright enough.
Today I found the Ambient Light Sensor setting!
... yep, it makes itself darker when the room darks.
... *sigh*
I'm sure the thing is good for something, but at the moment I just turned it off.
Arrow doesn't need any help being dark.
Disc 3 of Arrow has got better though. Like he's working With the police and telling the truth? So finally he's sneaking up on what I consider baseline for the character?
It's weird though that they gave the walked away from family story to his father. Called it unforgiveable. Because I get where they're coming from but this earth's Ollie would not like alternate earth Ollies at all.
... which is fair.
It's also weird realising the Arrow timeline is up to 12 years in universe now.
I mean comics sliding timelines are ridiculous, but I'm not sure any comics character ever got 12 years older.
Which is the up side of TV storytelling. They get through story much faster than comics and have incentive to let time pass.
And these flashforwards are neat but like totally predictable so far so I'm actually bored. Except for wondering if it leads up to the Legends episodes or follows after.
Just checked it, leads up to. or not, given that changing the future is what Legends is all about. Still, cool.
I have Supergirl but I'm actually planning to keep watching Arrow through, which two episodes ago I was not, it was just handy when I sat down to eat. So I like where it's going right niw except for the implying it's not going to work.
I also look forwards to my new glasses. Got my eyes tested, just got to wait a week for them to get made. The eye test made me realise how not quite right things have got though so it's being annoying in between times.
... might read a book instead...
