Not much to report

beccaelizabethI have mostly been reading Curse of the Crimson Throne.
The Scarwall maps are fiddly and I have to keep flipping back and forth to figure them out and I'm still not seeing it in my head. Also the scale is one square is ten feet, which trips me because on some maps one square is five feet, so everything is secretly Bigger.
In the hypothetical case of me playing these adventures I dont know how I'd use the maps. Maybe go to the library and photocopy them blown up to miniatures scales?
The miniatures parts seem like a lot of work.
I like the story though.
Things are slow. For obvious reasons, not much is going on. The board game group at the pub decided not to try meeting when the pubs open because the rules are more particular than that. Like the going to the pub would work, but the meeting people while you're there is a whole other rule set. And I wouldnt have gone yet even if they did meet.
Mum asked if I was doing any online meetings, but they divide up into anxiety causing formats (audio video), platforms I cant figure out (so many), and places that are all text where I am not thinking of things to words about.
... the not thinking of things is the thing I most need to fix, and in theory easiest to fix.
... running ready made adventures has many appeals, and the epic climbing frame to support the thinking is the biggest one.
the not knowing the rules be a strike against me doing that tho.
Oh well. Onwards.
