Adventure path economics
Aug. 7th, 2020 03:39 pmHaving finished the two Pathfinder adventure paths that I have bought already
I went to look for more on the paizo website
and did some maths.
The Curse of the Crimson Throne pocket edition cost maybe £24.
Depending where you get it.
Other adventure paths may or may not be available on paper any more, looks like mostly not. Older paths cost either $19.99 or $13.99 per part, print or pdf, with six parts each. Newer costs more than that, one said $24.99 for print. That adds up to a minimum of $83.94, or about £65
for pdfs.
That's a bit of a jump.
I mean I liked them a lot, they were a great buy as a book, I can see how costing more could still be good value
but
that's
more.
And I still don't have a gaming group! I mean if we had a six person group including me I can see how it could work out as $13.99 per person and be plenty good, but, there is just me, and I only want to read them to make adventures in my head.
So I have not added them to my shopping basket at this time.
... but I kind of wanna.
