and I yell at the TV
FIFTEEN YEARS
because it may be a bad guy plan but respect the effort there
they never met original Wells the only Earth 1 Wells they know is Thawne
and they never give him credit for the good bits just blame for the evil.
... blame for evil is fair
obviously.
... now I'm left needing to rewatch season one to wonder if they could believe the Wells swap happened later.
... or if the many subsequent timeline changes could have changed that.
... now I think about it I can easily see that happening quietly in the background after Barry changed what happened with his mother. If killing her wasnt a timeline change and Barry would always be on course to be the Flash then Eobard never lost his speed and never needed to kill Wells to build STAR labs... so if he did kill and replace him it wouldnt need to be for fifteen years. *blinks a lot*
That's a whole different guy though. Season one got unexisted. Thoroughly.
I realise bad guys in stories only exist to challenge the heroes and be catalysts in their story
but every time they bring Reverse Flash back they flatten him out and make him more boring
until this time he's just negative tachyons and hate.
I dont see why they think that's the most interesting thing to do with the character.
Heh, how about season one Thawne ends up confronting this season's Thawne
for character assassination...
