Jun. 2nd, 2023 02:45 pmToday I played the same bit of computer game over again in a different order
and this time there were actual alive characters to save, so that's much better.
I'm feeling a teensy bit motion sick because I just did the big Defender's Heart fight, where my options are running it turn based and getting motion sick as the camera swoops around a hugely busy battlefield, or leaving it automatic and having my characters try to win the thing on cantrips.
Somewhat sadly on the difficulty setting I have it at right now you *can* in fact win the thing on cantrips with minimal chance of taking injury... but the next difficulty up I tend to...not win. Extensively. It's a big jump between here and Normal settings, and I mostly want to see the story while feeling acconplished, not actually be taking risks, so, *shrugs*.
I'm also feeling like I've forgotten something, like the world that is not this computer game, so sorry when I forget to answer things, I just sat down and turned out to play all day.
Tell you though, that meme about 'you have to spend a year in the game you just played' is a lot less worrying when I just play Wingspan. I mean being a player character seems awesome, but I have NPC stats at best, so that's... not going to go so well.
... fun game, fun to be able to close it again...
