Dream of dream come true

I dreamed a convention got a dose of Seeing What We Want To See
and of course I saw Captain Jack Harkness
but also me in the cool coat of Captain Jack Harkness (no stripes).

Then The Doctor arrived, 13, and fixed it with a flickery green light,
which was necessary but awwwww.

... the dealer's room of your dreams. So many last gaps in the collection filled. those books you haven't seen since you were a kid, *and* they'd logically be the good bits version you remember...

but nope. we needed reality.
... turned out the tiny tiny kittens in my hotel room were still confusingly improbable but the part the See What We Want was doing was making me not notice my allergies... *sigh*

So as dreams go that had good bits but also a lot of
ugh.

I mean, it would take a while to be sure that wore off at all.
And how do you know that was the actual Doctor actually fixing it? You would not.
It's like that DW book with the planet where no one could tell fiction from reality, only at the scale of one hotel.


Now I am awake and remembering it was possible to buy the Actual Coat at auction and I think there are still sites that sell screen accurate cosplay versions
but
on me the effect is... different.
