Peter Morwood died today. The post announcing it above is from his wife Diane Duane. I follow them both on tumblr and this is very unexpected and very sad.

Tumblr being tumblr though, he's posted since then.
I imagine the queue function is just doing what it do.



If I stopped posting today my queue would run for about a year. I put all the annual events back in as soon as they happen. I try to push spoilery posts forwards about a week. I have a few posts I keep circulating three to six months out. August is pretty full. December has all the trees all set. So, yeah, about a year.

I am just now realising how disconcerting that could get.

Kind of nice but kind of sad too.

I didn't speak to him but, at a Star Trek con in Blackpool I was one of, maybe, a dozen people listening to him and Diane Duane while the remainder of the con attendees; most of them anyway, were next door in the main room with the celebrity Star Trek; including Gates McFadden as I recall.

I think the tumblr post I have scheduled farthest out is for Square Root Day on June 6th 2036. So sorry for Diane's loss.

Disconcerting for sure! A week ago I got a Facebook notification that it was my mum's godfather's birthday - he died about a year ago. I was disconcerted and a bit upset; Mum's now getting his page turned into a memorial one.
