Sharpe is a good antidote to feeling all blah.
Because there are swords and guns and things that go boom
and sometimes things with aztecs or wolves that barely need tweaking to be supernatural horror
and always bits where you realise his boyfriends are more important than any of the women-of-the-week, though Teresa was special.

there is also Sean Bean looking pretty.

And I like the coats with the fiddly fronts and all the buttons. They look kind of daft and very fancy both at once.
