Sep. 9th, 2006 02:43 pmWil Wheaton did a review of ST:TNG The Naked Now
I think we had an ex rental video of this ep and Code of Honour (?)
I know I've seen it a truly implausible number of times
I haven't seen TNG for *years*. Many many years. Possibly since I've moved out, which would be a full decade.
Deeply, deeply, strange thought.
ANYways
This ep has to be all about introducing the characters, showing us who they are as people and how they interact. Apparently showing them all acting in ways that would never happen again was considered the perfect way of doing this.
Ways to make things personal: Get drunk and screw.
Fanfic classic.
Then I had the thought, Buffy kind of did this too, though sadly without Giles proving himself fully functional.
... Or actually with, just in an *entirely* different context ...
First episode after the double length pilot? The Witch. Buffy stumbles around doing a good impression of happy drunk.
Weird bit of overlap there.
