MPreg might be considered strange, crack addled, all that
BUT
it is *infinitely* preferable to women that only exist long enough to have twins and die tragic deaths

... and if there was only one fic this ever happened in, that would be much less disturbing.

Mpreg should be taken more seriously, at least when it's done seriously, because let's face it, as an idea, it can be a very serious thing.

This would've been badfic with or without the mpreg. I mean, that was the LEAST of it!

Badfic will be badfic, *grin*, nothing one can do about that.

I was being more, "in general".

The "near-instant adult with immortality and super powers" reminded me of another Connor, Angel's kid. But see, even lame ideas can be done in a good way.

Superboy was a fun thing. I'm sure it made a lot of clex mpreg writers very happy.

I started a few serious mpreg fics in my day, serious to the point of research and calling my sisters. But never finished any, sadly.

I have this HL 'verse (don't mock please) with a kid - no mpreg, just a kid, from baby to... about 20s, but probably a lot after in bits. It's a huge project, in my terms anyway, and is aaallll about child and parenting.

No idea why I do it.

How about baby stories involving Kronos? ;)

but no mpreg on him, or he'll kill me.

Dude! I have one of those! In NTB-verse. I keep wanting to write it, but getting intimidated away.

...come to think of it, I do get Tessa pregnant only to kill her in that. And yet, how much *cooler* the story would be if she *lived* and she and Kronos raised Duncan's kid *together*...

Hmmmm.

The story would indeed be cooler if you could somehow prevent Tessa from dying in it.. I'm just not sure how :)

Also your icon is joy.

I don't know. I mean, I'd either have to go silly with it or die of the angst, but basically (if I remember the set=up right) you'd have:

Tessa Noel, ass-kicking and awesome artist left bitter and pregnant after mysterious stalker followed her home and forced her in to sex, resulting in her fiancee leaving her and personal ruin;

And Kronos, rockin' immortal left half out of his mind with grief after same mysterious mortal showed up and killed his One True Love for no apparent reason.

Together, they fight crime.

(And seek vengeance on the mysterious dark man who ruined both their lives! And find healing together through art and gratuitous violence! And also sex!) It would be up in the air whether the baby was pre-immortal or not, though. It'd be harder to justify Tessa living if it was, but it would also be harder to justify Kronos not just killing them both outright.

And thank you! I couldn't resist the temptation after I read that comic.

Very Darla in the protective sense, or in the trying so hard to get rid of it sense?

And he does like sharp things through the heart, so you never know ;) Might stake the other party involved, though.

That was the most FUCKED UP thing I've read in YEARS. I don't know why I kept going - like it was going to IMPROVE?

But that, for sure, was the last straw. Especially since, of course, that as brother and sister they have EXACTLY THE SAME GENES AND DNA!

My brain needs a nap.

Well, I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that I'll be able to not read any further installments of "Things I Hate About the 21st Century", which has gradually become more and more disturbing.

Hahaha, my honeymoon with TW fic is SO over!

And yet! How many fic writers have mortal women getting pregnant just so they can have immortal babies and die? Oh yes!
