You have fascinating meta thoughts, you know. :) I happened to catch this on a friends list and I really like your idea of Gwen becoming more like Owen. I think the first season is partly her transformation, partly her struggle against it. I suspect it's Rhys and Jack that push and pull her the most: Jack encourages her to keep her normal life, at the same time he draws her in to Torchwood; Rhys is a great deal of happiness for her but at the same time, normal can be boring for Gwen. She's excited by Torchwood (this is where her parallel to Suzie comes in most strongly?).

But with 1x13, not only is Jack gone but, presumably, Owen is the new boss. So I wonder how that will affect things?
