Have finished DS9 season 4.
Cooooooool.

Also, wants to see what happens next.

I can either spend enough extra for a whole extra box set, or wait about a month for the next three seasons. Choices, choices.

Well, maybe if I wait I'll get through the other couple of feet of DVDs.

I have a whole season of SG1 to watch, and I think they've brought out the season box set *after* that one too. So not exactly short on viewing.

Have an essay hand in on Tuesday. Have currently about half an essay. Expect to be hiding under the duvet sometime monday.
On the other hand, I really don't mind if I don't do well at this one, so I figure I'll try to just write the other 500 words and hand it in and shrug.

... yeah, I can see that working :eyeroll:

It's so cool to see a "new" reaction to DS9 now. I remember watching it with friends, every Sunday evening. I missed the last couple of years-- something else I was doing when the show came on. But I got the DVDs from the library eventually and then did what I'm going to suggest to you-- got discs from Netflix. It's certainly cheaper than buying the discs, though eventually I want to do that, too. I have S5-7, and the local library has S1-4, though theirs are not in such great shape after circulating for a few years now....

DS9 is everything I wish Buffy had been. Similar promise early, characters you really care about, but.... DS9 actually had people guiding the show with care. And it didn't hurt that they knew trekkies everywhere were going to eat them alive if they messed with the integrity of the Trekverse, or went off in wildly inconsistent directions....

Oddly, I've never felt the need to write DS9 fic. That world was satisfying enough on its own, and the published continuation of it satisfied my desire to see more. I highly recommend it when you get through the whole series. And after you finish your essay of course. If it's any comfort, I'm sweating away at an epilogue here tonight, myself. We can suffer together if you like.
