Doctor Who prediction: Not Timebabies in teh conventional small-and-vulnerable sense, because they can't run away or choose the kind of fallout that would involve. New species made from grownups, two eps running. One destroyed by Daleks really quick, one mutating out of control. Change what it means to be human, either way. So there's this really dangerous thing the Doctor could do - give humans enough Time Lord DNA to regenerate, to become roughly what he is, and then see what they do with it.
Who would you trust with that kind of power?
Give it to an individual and he's right, in the end they'll be alone.
But he's been in at the birth of several new species lately.
Change enough people to be a self sustaining population?
New (new new new) Gallifrey.
Plus, wouldn't it be cool if he could make companions as resilient as he is?
And then there would be the thing where the biology is not the Time Lord, is not the culture or heritage or people.
But he's a telepath. They're all telepaths. When the Doctor wants to tell himself something quick he just shares it telepathically.
He could fileshare himself, pass on everything he knows, real quick.
Of course the other way to look at this is that the major bad guys are all starting with an aspect of the Doctor and showing how it can go horribly wrong.
Hence the Master.
But wouldn't it be cool if there was Newbie Time Lords?
And we have an apprentice Doctor already...
PS: They went in a blender
And she's changed
It could have already happened
