Also, and seperately from all the -isms, this author is just not very good. There's convoluted sentences, a vast and ongoing need for the show not tell stick, no apparent feeling for which details tie to theme or are necessary for plot, and a tendency to drop into convenient random points of view for a paragraph or so just to data dump stuff he can't be bothered to think of an illustrative incident for.

Why did I buy so many of his books???
