Jun. 30th, 2007 11:20 pmI keep on seeing people say that a certain revelation from today's DW destroy's all dramatic tension re: that character. But (a) knowing there's a sequel doesn't make a film not worth watching (b) we already know they aren't going to kill the Doctor permanently, and that hasn't exactly shortcircuited 30 years of storytelling and (c) we've just seen a damn great paradox engine that can change everything about history. A much smaller device could change one thing. They're playing in a 'verse where things can be both true and not true, where the Earth can end two different ways, where we're not quite sure what decade it is for some story arcs. Anything can happen. Because the writers say so. And they have the technobabble to back it up.
