Doctor Who: Creature from the Pit

and some issues in the design
costume - on Romana? She's wearing something floaty and kinda seethru and with pink edges and trailing along the floor. She manages to look like she's wearing someone else's costume. And also, like she's crossdressing. It's, er, designed to emphasise what she don't got enough to emphasise, so she's just totally flat in front, and the effect is... well, it doesn't look intentional.
Still, she does get to be all haughty and get bandits to tie her up and sit down just because she tells them to.
And K9 shoots stuff.
And the Doctor gets very friendly with an alien. Very. Very very even.
The creature design... it passes "what were they thinking" and heads merrily into "why were they thinking that on a TV show" leading to LMAO "OMG the Doctor put his mouth *where*"
... either that or I have an incurably dirty mind.
It was just... it had this sticky out bit, and kind of a sack. And it was bigger than the Doctor. And it just kind of... stuck out at him and he put his mouth on the end and blew.
... I am amused. I am greatly amused. And this is of the good.
Also there was an evil monopolist who wandered around in silver facepaint and a sort of turban thingy, and some very hairy bandits, and a huntsman with a whip. And the creature turned out to be an ambassador with no larynx.
Oh, and aluminium can defeat gravity. I did not know that. That is I'm sure very useful to learn.
... Doctor Who does science in that special way that's not.
TARDIS towed a neutron star. That was nifty.
TARDIS clearly beats everything.
So, now I have to juggle files to disc because I've watched almost all the ones that fit on my laptop. I haven't tried recording to DVD from my laptop yet.
... also, I kind of want to keep them all. Despite the thing where I've watched them and probably won't be watching them all over again straight away. I just... want to carry them around for a bit.
Possibly jic I fall into an alternate universe where they turn out to be true. As you do.
... possibly I should once again attempt sleep, on account of it now being 0423 and I'm all wide awake and stuff.
