I am no longer bored.

I am feeling rather unwell.

I watched The Deadly Assassin, but I think it's only a cause for the first part of that.

Doctor and Master in the same story, and yet, not slashy.
possibly because the Master is at the time a moving corpse.
The Doctor is vaguely pretty, though. I like the shirt with the puffy sleeves. And boots are always good.

The robes and the big collars are made of win. And the seal of rassilon stamped over everything. Pretty!

... okay, I have an odd sense of pretty.

Master is on his last life and animated purely by hatred of the Doctor and Gallifrey.
Tries to use the Eye of Harmony to get more lifes and blow up Gallifrey all at once.

... Remind me again, which side was he on in the Time War?

So the Master really needs to read the evil overlords list. That whole 'invite your sworn archenemy into a trap and then leave him alive a lot' thing isn't exactly a winner.

I love the little doll corpses. Action figure or murder victim? Only the Master knows for sure!

I like when Borusa says 9 out of 10. Which was the point the Doctor missed?

And then the Master going off in his grandfather clock TARDIS.

Doctor's TARDIS is the only one of it's type still existing. *wonders vaguely if that explains why it's the only one that survives*

Malfeasance record, cleared by the CIA - Celestial Intervention Agency.
Running for president so he doesn't get executed!
He won, of course. And ran away, of course of course.

Time Lords sound like a ruling class of Gallifrey - there's the thing where they're saying the people have to believe in the Time Lords.

They also sound like a bunch of utter idiots. They've forgotten what everything is actually for. "Turned away from the barren path of technology" indeed - and forgotten what they found on it! Eye of Harmony a myth? *facepalm*

See, it's stuff like this that springs to mind whenever the Doctor gets all that angst about Gallifrey go boom. I mean, yes, it's an entire planet, yes it includes everyone he ever knew, yes whenever he went back there he met people he knew (Prydonians have a reputation for sneakiness, you know), but... were there any of them we were actually meant to like? Mostly they were just so stupid!

The bit where his family go boom is obviously very sad though.

Doctor at the end wishes the Master dead and reckons he wouldn't say that about anyone else, calls him pure evil. Things changed a bit since then.

Story would have been more interesting with less of that mucking about in the Matrix-jungle. The bits with the clown and all were interesting but once they started just hunting it was like it had rules like an ordinary world and that's just silly.

Artron energy - having much of it a good thing, explaining it clearly not. Use it up in psychic combat in the matrix. Which is a bunch of brain cells full of dead Time Lords, apparently. Time Lord afterlife! Only nobody else helped when he was psychic-fighting, so not so much with the life.

Story was fun. Even all that hunting bit was fun sort of, just it could have happened anywhere to anyone. Doctor used a grenade and a poison thorn blowpipe and blowing people up with marsh gas and then hitting with sticks. After a bit of mud wrestling.

... okay, generally that doesn't happen to most people.

I liked it better when he was trying to tell the place to be the computation matrix and denying reality. That was shiny.

We find out a whole bunch of interesting background stuff all at once. I like that.

But it don't all fit together. Like, why did nobody regenerate? Were they lying in that room waiting on them? Does a big stick in the back kill them dead? Little bit of a gap there!

On the whole though, fun.
