Aug. 7th, 2007 09:41 pmso far nobody wants to play at making up teams :-(
It's like xovers with no logic! Fun! Just import the characters and see what happens!
Okay, usually what happens in xovers is sex. Usually what happens in fanfic is sex. So there could be a team picked solely for teh pretty. It's not like there's any rules.
Yesterday's flight of fancy where I decided the Master left behind a backup skybase (slightly smaller) has developed some twists. To run the Torchwood files clearly it needs to have a living computer. And obviously the Master would imprint it with his personality just to make sure it was loyal. Only he'd have to tweak it a bit so they wouldn't get in fights all the time about which one precisely was the Master in actual point of fact. Plus the ship wouldn't have the time sense unless it incorporated chunks of TARDIS and there's only one TARDIS to play with.
... but they grow. Huh.
ANYways... in my head I'm now trying to negotiate with a living ship with most of the Master's personality to try and get it to do anything.
Clearly this is a vital and productive use of my time.
*facepalm*
... it's decided it needs a new name. and to tweak it's avatar a bit.
... Master with tattoos and piercings?
... my brain is a very weird neighbourhood.

Date: 2007-08-08 12:51 am (UTC)And not for sex. For serious.
Though I suspect, if a team works closely to save the earth, and they're all characters I tend to like? There will be sex at one point or another.
(I will now make "I wanna play" icon, but it will go on ij I think)

Date: 2007-08-08 02:16 am (UTC)I had a thought and I have no one to share it with except you. (That sounded creepy. I didn't mean it like creepy. Just that it's within your discussion-topics).
I was partly having this slash discussion, it went something like this:
Not everyone is gay!
Well not everyone is straight either. And more to the point, a lot of gay people are closeted because of idiots, so there's a visibility issue - tons of people are gay and you'd never know they are, because it's not like they're smooching in public or carrying a sign...
And then I thought of autistic spectrum and how many characters are basically... let's say, have some "spectrum" characteristics, and it's a lot like queer subtext - if you are one, you recognise the subtle signs that are there and say to yourself, "this person is queer but they won't come out and say it" - I wonder if it's the same for autism spectrum, except many of them wouldn’t know emotional subtext if it hit them in the face. Not all, I'm well aware, I said many. Thing is, do they look and say "this fictional character in a TV drama is in fact autistic in some way, but undiagnosed and they're not telling us".

Date: 2007-08-09 02:32 am (UTC)is why I suspect Ianto of OCD tendencies, even though the evidence (he's very clean and tidy) could better be explained by situational factors (it is in fact his job to clean and tidy).
I also secretly suspect him of being a fan.
Because that would be cool.
There's a bunch of characters who are just a bit like us only much cooler. Who they are depends on current significant bits of 'us'.
I like the Doctor. He's a bit rude and not very people person and doesn't pay any attention to rules and is very good at knowing what he knows but not at reacting the way people think he should. Poster boy much?
Not often do I look at a character and think they're meant to be kinda autistic spectrum, but very often do I find a character who kinda sorta could be. Especially in the 'oops wrong planet' definition.
