Heroes ep 5

Heroes is still made of win.
And I think the behind the scenes thingy did spoiler again.

Still, it was really cool when he's being dragged around in his pyjamas and they're all acting like they're in control and then he's like *whoosh* and a sonic boom because he's just that fast and... er, I guess I'm easily pleased, but that was most cool. And combine that with how classy and controlled he was with the blackmail situation, not being a jerk to her even when she's done him a bad turn, that was cool. Though the cheating on his wife thing in the first place was clearly less cool. *shrugs*

Hiro is still made of cuddly win, and future-Hiro has cool to go with it. Nifty.

I like how everything weaves together. I like the complicated.


And they said after the BBC3 showing that there's a BBC7 radio show too??? That's a lot of tie in.

Will watch next week.

Hopefully with less headache.
I have that vague nagging ache that defies the painkillers I've already taken and leaves my thinks all fuzzy. Blah.

But TV was cool. And I remembered when it was on. Well, I remembered at half past nine to check the time and was vaguely surprised it wasn't closer to six, but still, I was aiming for the ten o'clock showing anyway. So this makes Doctor Who, Torchwood, and Heroes that I actually remember to watch on the actual TV at a set time. Might be getting better at that.

Of course if I bought the TV recorder thingy I wouldn't have to be getting better at it, but I still only watch one show per week and it just seems like a lot of tech for that.

You get behind-the-scenes material? Cool! I've never seen any of that, and probably won't until or unless I get the DVDs.

Heroes is on BBC2, a channel with no adverts, so to fill up the hour they do Heroes Unmasked. Voiceover by ASH who was Giles in Buffy and also the voice of the Doctor Who Confidential stuff. It's mostly a how-to on the FX so far, but you get enough character stuff that... not so much spoilers as clarifies what I was quite enjoying puzzling out, and a few clips that are the best bits of the next episodes... I don't think I'll want to be watching it until after I've seen the eps.
Which is annoying, because I'm not recording it or anything so I'd have to poke around for downloads for stuff I could perfectly legally have. Meh.

Great! I love his voice. I like ASH in general. (Haven't seen Buffy though.)

I recorded Heroes and I've been toying with the idea of watching it again before season 2 begins. But I haven't found the time. Maybe if I do it in bits and pieces? It would be fun to look back on early episodes, knowning what I know now about the characters and action.

Cool page! Have you looked at the Heroes material on the NBC site? It's good, too, and they add to it all the time.

I can't see the videos on the BBC site and I don't know if it's because I'm not in the UK (probably) or because I don't have the right software at work, or it's blocked on the server at work (also probable). I'll try it again from home and hope for better luck. But usually I can't watch video on BBC websites becuase they are really, really good at keeping things blocked. As are the US sites. Grump.


Maybe someone will put it up on YouTube? Hopefully!

I looked at one character profile on the Heroes BBC page and it told things that we hadn't yet learned in the TV episodes, which to my mind = spoilers. So then I decided not to look yet.

Spoilers - oh dear! Stay away, then - the surprises are good, you wouldn't want to be spoiled. I'm so glad I wasn't. Most of the really spoilish stuff isn't in the actions or plots, it's in the character development.

I'm annoyed - we forgot to tape this week's on Wednesday; recorded it on the Thursday repeat, but that meant we didn't get Unmasked.

So...how did they spoiler?

FWIW, I think Milo Ventimiglia is absolutely made of gorgeous, and generally when he's on screen I'm not necessarily following the plot... Hiro is growing on me, especially the "Waffles!!!" moment. And yeah, future-Hiro is...almost a different character. I'm looking forward to seeing how it all develops.
