Nail varnish experiments: some are just not meant to be.
So of the two types I acquired this weekend the one that looked nicely opalescent in the bottle is weedily pink once applied, and the other made of silver sparkles thus far refuses to stay on. But at least when it comes off all over the appliances they get prettier.
*sigh*
Also - the No17 glitter topcoat, when it goes over the top of any of the Rimmel Lycra range, turns into a splodgy nasty mess of goo. Which is rather unfair. I like glitter.

Undoubtedly all these problems are exacerbated by my splodgy imprecise technique with the application of this stuff - honestly, I could probably just dip my fingers in the bottles and get about as much accuracy as I manage with fiddly brushes. But I'm having fun :-)

Oh, also, the lovely metallics I bought a while back turn out to have been in the discount store basically because they very quickly dry up in the bottle to a small metal layer in the bottom of the bottle. It looks like I've used it all up and the bottle has a steel floor, but no, I just left it in the drawer with all the others.

Some days I have ten different colors because I couldn't decide. Today, only three. And all my toes are red. They tend to stay that way cause it doesn't come off so much and I don't remember to change it.

My favourite colors this month are 'Fuel' (lovely dark blue) and 'Silver bullet' (nice shiny white/silver depending how you turn it). But the red lycra ones tend to stay on best.
