Sarah Jane Adventures
Nov. 5th, 2007 06:02 pmVery cool :-)
so SJS is so important to Earth that her being missing = end of the world. Because all the other people missed that meteor. Handy.
Well it did say it got rid of all the other invaders, there's no knowing how many other people it messed up along the way.
Or what SJS leaving would do to the timeline with the Doctor. I mean, he'd probably just travel with someone else, but it could have changed everyting after meeting her. Cool.
... we have another canon AU to play with there.
UNIT dates - SJS was 13 in 1964? How old was she when she was with UNIT?
... not that it helps, just adds to the fun. Wiki already has that added, says it makes story = air date. Which makes her not actually from 1980 when she says so.
... continuity in a time travel 'verse...
Had a whole story where Luke gets a holiday, Sarah Jane mostly gets a holiday, and Maria's dad does lots of story.
I *like* him. I like the funny with the skateboard and the kids' eye view of 'old'.
It's interesting that it's the fake bad SJS that flirts with him (if you can call the vastly unsubtle flirting). Makes it = bad??? Or is she claiming what ain't hers there too?
Maria's mum looks bad, as usual. I kind of don't like that. I mean, the clueless parent being the one that isn't there, fair enough. The single father as hero, nice. But... the absent mother as stereotype? Not so very nice.
I watched a bunch of other kids TV tonight cause I was trying not to fall asleep before SJA started. Compared to all that SJA is *golden*. I mean, utter lack of sense making in evidence. SJA has a plot and characters and things being done and all sorts.
And some quality recycling in the props and makeup. Bit mix and match, make it all look good. Nice use of resources.
ANYways, I continue to like this. Is fun.
