I am up to page 46 :)
yaay reading! Yaay brain staying relatively focused! Er, aside from the track dedicated to Torchwood plot bunnies. So far today it has a whole hurt/comfort sequences with jealous!Owen and Ianto down a mine shaft, some porn with mostly Owen, and an adaptation of that sequence in Ultraviolet waiting for the sunset only with sunrise and alien spores and Ianto in danger. Sometimes the point of comms is connecting people, sometimes it's the distance that remains. Fun to play with. You know, in that definition of fun that involves horrible trauma and insides on the outside.
Also there was analysing sequences of Torchwood looking at editing and lighting and things-not-words. There's a good bit in 2-07 I need to comment on, but only after I watch it again to make sure I saw what I remember.

Is quite difficult studying films one has not in fact watched. Or watched recently. I'm sure I've seen ET, but not recently enough to do big thinking about it. And Sliding Doors I never got around to seeing. I now know all the plot in detail and have pages full of key sequences. Apparently the editing is v clever. Yet the more I learn about it the less I feel like watching it somehow.

There should be an introduction to film... well, to television really... to moving images, and using only images from Doctor Who. Or Buffy. Granted, it's a specialised text, but people interested would be really interested. And I can totally get examples from Torchwood for everything they want to show off so far.

I have to get up again in 7.5 hours. This could be considered a problem.
