seaQuest Splashdown

Just finished watching the final episode of the second season of seaQuest. As I understand it they didnt know there would be a third season, so this is how they decided to end the whole show. And all I have to say is- WHAT were they ON?! I could write a better episode in my sleep. I mean it was funny, but for all the wrong reasons. And it was kinda painful watching people that can actually act doing their best in the middle of the utterly implausible. I mean seaQuest could never decide where plausible lived anyway, but this one? I mean can you imagine pitching this story? "Okay, so we have one episode left to wrap up our show and make everyone remember it for all time. Heres what we'll do- have the entire submarine get abducted by aliens! See it was a desert world, and now it flooded, so they need a submarine and no one ever invented one. And then we'll have seaQuest fight for the wrong side and blow itself up! It'll be a hit!" I mean, okay, memorable, but... WHAT were they ON?!

This is the only episode so far that I just cannot watch with the sound on. I mean some of them were freaky wierd and really peculiar, but this was just the icing on the cake. And everyone emotes so sincerely while the show just goes kaBOOM. I'm so glad there was seaQuest 2032 because if they had left it with this it would be tragic.
