Does Owen's state of constant Death count as one? He can't do much otherwise he'd permanently hurt himself (see his still taped up/broken finger in 2x09, good continuity!) since he's become exponentially more fragile.

yes, I think so. the whole story arc is only a bit about death and quite a lot about becoming disabled, to my reading. only I don't know if the writers know that :)

That's how I read it too! I knew I'd seen someone on my flist say the same thing but when I checked I couldn't find it.

I like to think the writers know that, because I like to pretend they are very clever and work stuff in deliberately.
