Jun. 6th, 2008 07:14 amI'm reading this official behind the scenes book for new series Doctor Who. It's full of interesting and cool and bits that make me go :eyeroll: or stare over my glasses at RTD ignoring it later. So, good. I am currently up to reading about costumes. DT's first suit was not a suit, it was trousers and a jacket made from trousers. Lots of trousers, pulled apart and put back together. Somehow that's fitting.
There's lots of stuff also about what kinds of stories they will and won't do, what the rules are, stuff like that. Reinforces my opinion RTD is insufficiently SF - says no aliens cause it's about being human. Aliens is also about being human, just from a different angle. Silly.
... says I who is currently enthusiastic about my plot bunny involving teeny tiny little hedgehogs that spin around and get blue on their quills. Because, you know, original, and I in no way got it from anywhere.
... hang on, why is 'sonic' blue in the new series...?
