clumsy day

small ouching and annoyance. Book arrived in post in big padded envelope, yaay! Er, envelope held together with small little staples. Which had unfolded on the way here. Sufficient that I learned of them by sliding one into my hand.

Ouch.

I can't find a hole now, so it can't have been much bad. But that was unfun.

And then trying to get in to the envelope tore it, and it turns out padded means stuffed with some grey fluffy stuff which fell out all over my bean bag and my living room floor.

So I went to get the mini vacuum cleaner tasked with fixing such annoyances, and found some genius had turned it off at the plug. Yes, that could have been this genius. I'm clever like that.

So then I got the slightly larger yet still small vacuum cleaner and managed to ignore the way it makes me want to run and hide with my hands over my ears (yes I have issues) and cleaned up all the fluff I could find and put it back.

Now my eyes are prickly and I vaguely suspect the fluff is allergy inducing. Because it's that kind of day.

The thing delivered in the envelope in question is still in the bubble wrap. I have decided to leave it there until I can be appropriately 'ooh, shiny!' rather than scowling at it the way I'm >:-( at my screen right now.


also, attempting to get an answer the door shirt, I knocked one off the hanger and will have to go in the cupboard and pick it up. chore.


yes, once I get started on a good snit it tends to spread.


I should just have more chocolate goop and go back to reading about Doctor Who.

Oops. Sorry about the staples. My cellotape was incredibly non-sticky and I couldn't find any glue. then I found the insulation tape and used that.

I know you'll love what's in the bubble wrap though *g*
