Jul. 1st, 2008 09:44 pmMy Torchwood season 2 DVDs arrived
and now my brother is gone I can watch them :-)
The Deleted Scenes were interesting, but this time all of the better without them variety. Yes, even the cute Jack/Ianto bit. Do you think they actually filmed less spare bits this time or just had less room on the DVD?
The Outtakes... I got as far as JB's ringtone and now have to pause until I can stop giggling.
Theme from which TV show?
:-D
The 22 minutes about Captain Jack thing though... that was hovering down between bad and absolutely sodding pathetic. If they're going to do a thing about how confusing his timeline is then putting the clips in the order he experienced them would make sense. Putting them in broadcast order would at least be consistent. Putting them in calendar order could be untangled. But what order was that lot in? I don't even know. It bounced around all over the place. And there wasn't any useful new data, or interesting, or funny. And what was David Tennant doing in it? Saying the exact same things as in DW Confidential, yesno? So anyway, that was a bit useless.
And now I have seen all the 'new' content.
... why did they put so much more work into the website than the DVDs?
Surely it wouldn't be so very much difficult to just put the stuff from the one onto the other???
The lack of commentaries isn't just uncool, it's below perceived standard. Everyone does commentaries. Some of them really pathetic, but still, commentaries.
On the whole I'm not sad I bought the set, but I don't think I'll get anything out of them that's worth the money compared to what I recorded for myself.
