Jul. 13th, 2008 09:49 pmHello, internet, how I have missed you!
I'm spending £6 to connect from the bar at the now-finished Bad Wolf con hotel.
To connect from my room would cost £15 per day... if it were available, which it is not.
Overpriced cheek.
Had a nice day. Had a nice day and evening yesterday. Today... Had a nice day, ran out of happy face, ran out of happy, tried to get some sleep, discovered that weren't happening despite the maximum three hours I had last night, tried to get on the internet, found their wireless is down (arrgh!), went back up to my room, sulked, wrote a snippy note.
Listened to a Big Finish audio. 2.1 Dead London. The guy in the shop recommended it as a starting place. It's the start of a season, but I don't know as it's a good start. I'll have to think on it. Also the price per minute it works out to seems much, because I am cheap.
Also I have now run out and I forgot to buy more in the dealers room earlier.
I'm eating vegetable spring rolls. They taste worse than the ones from my local chinese place yet cost much much more. Urgh. There was a sort of up side to the whole unable to eat thing, if only to my finances.
Hey, look, I'm eating! Cool!
Eating, drinking lemonade, aching cause I did dancing last night, and not sleeping.
I can live with that.
I got the autographs I decided to get in advance. I told lots of people about my UEA Dr Who course I did, and some of them were interested, I think, possibly. Probably more than a random sample anywhere else. I spoke in full sentences to several people in crowded rooms. I... suspect I'm one of the weird boring people others seek to avoid. *sigh*
The talks were good. Interesting. I took notes on Saturday but only managed to fiddle with shiny things on Sunday. Well, mostly I kept my eyes closed. Shiny things were me attempting to stay awake. Sort of worked.
I think the weekend was interesting. Just my happy fell out this evening. This happens when sleep is insufficient.
Dancing only lasted two hours. Less fun that way. And the mixes were weird.
... and I just realised I'm online to type this cause I'm entirely out the habit of pay-per-minute.
I'll write something long tomorrow, spend the rest of my voucher aquiring reading matter tonight.
