Things I should have learned by now

beccaelizabethIf job A has a minimum of two weeks to be done in and job B has a maximum of two ONE DAY then working myself flat on job A is not a good idea. Even if I did it when I had five days left, still not good. Because flat.
Packing has proceeded to the point where all my jewelery is in its proper place (easy, because sorted carefully after each use) and a random assortment of underwear and shiny clothes is piled in the suitcase, along with weapons. I think there are even enough pairs of trousers this time. I have a tendency to have many more tops than trousers. Unhelpful.
Also unhelpful, that the emergency tidy on job A has made job B about a billion times more difficult because everything is in one big pile in the corner of the room with inadequate lighting.

and, er, watch me be fascinating with very small problems... :eyeroll:
Okay, back to the other stuff.
eta: AHA! All of twenty minutes later, PACKED! With weapons even. I have the Nirrti costume, the really lame Battlestar Galactica outfit, and a bunch of my purple stuff including the little jacket with the chiffon bits under the arms, because I felt like it. I might end up not wearing that. I also packed sufficient underwear (eventually, though for two days I found less underwear than I BOUGHT before the last con, so I know I should have more than that. Except, now I think of it, I ordered the wrong size then and didn't replace it. That would explain it a bit.) including new pretties that I found due to the cleaning up, so the backwards order was actually helpful. Now all I have to do is get dressed, shove my money tin in the correct pocket... *pause to search for money tin*... ah, yup, that tin, then go get a whole bunch of cash and go to London. I can even use the card machine. Or get cashback. Because my actual current account has the actual money in. Woah.

*puts digital camera on nearby shelf with batteries*

hmmmm. Do not know if I can conceal the weaponry in my army surplus jacket. Might have to also take a handbag. Or, you know, not carry that. *ponders*
