Late night shopping in Norwich is fun. The TV and Movie store was trying out a Dalek. The remote control worked right up until he pressed the voice button, then it all stopped. Interesting.
I asked about the book that I might be in and he said it'll be in in maybe a couple weeks, keep checking, and I can have look to see what it says about me then.
I asked also for advice on which audios to buy next but the conclusion was since I've bought the recent ones and like them I probably want to start back at the beginning, and they don't have those in stock. Off to the website then.
Anyone got any advice on Doctor Who audio adventures?
I ended up buying the two Sarah Jane Adventures audios. Which will be fun. Also were cheap.
Chapelfield Mall is open late too. First I went to Borders, hunting set texts. Two of them were in stock, one of them is now on order and I can pick it up Tuesday when I go in. They've got a new computer system that doesn't let them do what the old system did. Wasn't very helpful. But the person was helpful, so is all sorted now. *xfingers*
Then the shiny things shops were also open late. I has another new set of earrings. I managed to attach them to my handbag at one point and run out of hands for getting untangled, but hey, I amused the working late people. :eyeroll:
So then it was 8pm and Dr Who & Cult TV group meeting.
Only mostly they didn't turn up.
There were two people. And they didn't talk much. And it's a bit difficult having a conversation that way.
Also the place started getting full up and loud and busy. My stutter proved it hasn't gone away, just paused for the holiday. Loud busy many = stutter.
So we left at 9pm.
only then on the way home I decided I was bored and it was still hours to go before we'd planned to end, so we went to Tesco, which is always open.
It's huge in there. And there's a bunch of empty shelves still. It's going to get even huger. Woah. So we spent an hour wandering around making vague comments about assorted foodstuffs. I bought bread and chocolate goo and pancakes with chocolate goo and some kind of baked beans that says 'hidden veg', which sounds like a good plan.
They no longer stock my staple diet central item, the pasta in pouches that goes in the microwave. Apparently there wasn't much demand. I demanded them every week and they rarely filled the whole order, ran out first. I could put an order in for a whole bunch of packets regular. But they don't stock it.
Morrisons still has it. I'll have to walk and pick it up. Hopefully it will keep.
I also bought some less food related stuff. There was a selection of jewelry, including a nice butterfly I might have to go back for, and a bracelet that's very shiny and I has now. There was a purple furry cushion of great texture. I'm going to regret buying that in the morning, but then I'll hug it and think it's great again. And...
I bought another sonic screwdriver.
This one has a sonic pen!
... I has 9's screwdriver, 10's screwdriver, a sonic lipstick, a laser screwdriver, and now a sonic pen. *sigh* Oh, and a squeezy one, but I won that. And a little mini LCD torch, which actually is the only one I got out the box and carry all the time. It's handy. Still, that's kind of... many.
But I resisted the temptation of the set with the toclafane target.
... for now.
So now it's the end of the evening and I spent a bunch of money and have silly things.
Cool.
