It worked quite well.
What I had forgotten turned out to be that my bus pass only works after 0830. But that's okay, I always have bus fare too. Though it has gone up again I think.
I got new timetables for the routes I travel. Now I have a complete set.
Also I checked if there's a cheaper option to getting single tickets those ten mornings, but on that route there isn't.
Once at college I went and checked the timetable on the noticeboard, and decided to have a drink. Lucozade bottles are not cooperative. Eventually I got frustrated enough to forget the rule about the squishy bottles, and used the nearest convenient hard edge to get it open. Which was the noticeboard. Which I then sprayed with lucozade. So then I nipped off and got some tissue and came back and wiped it. If nobody can tell I did it it don't count... *sigh*
I went to talk to a teacher but there were nobody in the teacher office yet.
Then I found the classroom it said on the noticeboard and went to find the plug for my computer. Ongoing entire lack of plug. Classroom fail! And I hadn't charged my computer overnight so it weren't going to last even on low power. So I sat down anyway and decided to ask teacher when they arrived. Other students started arriving. Soon we were all there. Except for the teacher.
Twenty minutes after class was supposed to start, teacher stuck head around door and said "What are you all doing in here?"
... yes twenty minutes is a bit fail, but having already checked the teacher office, where else to check?
Turns out where in room F210, which is in a block of rooms I didn't know existed, above the canteen. It's a nice big room that still doesn't have enough tables and chairs.
I'm talking about these bits at length because the rest of the lesson was actually very boring. This was because it was Intro Cultural Theory ultra condensed for the half of the class that hasn't done it due to being Psych students. So we watched a video that we'd watched this time last year, and then studied up on Barthes in less depth than I have already, and then did discussing it. The people who sat next to me had no intention of including me in their discussion. I think they were rude. I don't think it was my groupwork fail when they keep their backs to me. *sigh* This is what happens in second year students? Have groups already, no room. Not helpful.
So we did examples of myth, the Barthes structuralist version, and teach said lots of variations on 'good' about my work, which is usually yaay but by the end of the lesson I was right bored and would much rather have spent the time reading the books. The books have new stuff in. The Barthes stuff was what I said in the firstest lesson, because I'd learned it already. I know everyone has to learn it and remember it and be up to speed before we go apply it to Medea, but, well, still bored, even if it is reasonable.
Whiny. Whine. Whiny whine. :eyeroll:
ANYway, after the lesson I tried the office again and the teachers were all there eating. I don't like to interrupt eating but they said hi and I had question. What I'd guessed about KidLit and the Blackboard groups was correct and half the class was enrolled on a different Blackboard with a different code. This is no help at all, and teach is going to fix it. I also said how my work got deleted when they fixed the Myth & Med board. I think teach is going to fix it a different way.
I call all teachers teach. Google is out there.
So anyway, the first lesson of KidLit was actually more about learning to use Blackboard, which I already know. So I really haven't missed anything. Once the Blackboard group knows to let me in, I can catch up right quick.
Then I caught a bus to Watton, where the dentist is.
Dentist put a filling on my tooth, though since it was a crack up the outside and they didn't need to numb my mouth even I don't know if 'filling' is precisely the right word. But now instead of a line up my tooth I have a smooth place. Weird.
I did not panic. Well, I did have to get the dentist to stop and let me breathe a minute because the cleaning makes a eeeeeeeeeee noise in my head I Really Don't Like, but that's not panic, that's proper measures to avoid panic. So that's cool.
Then I caught the bus back to Dereham.
It lets out just outside the supermarket, so I got out there and bought food. The stuff I went in for wasn't there so I've come out with donuts and fruit bread. This is why I do my sunday shopping after I eat.
Now I am home on my computer.

Next week we get into studying Medea. I have read Medea. Also some books about Medea.
Also I had in the holiday read the thing we got given as a handout today.
It's kind of awesome, being actually prepared for stuff.
