Watched Merlin.
Still kind of bored.
They made it very pretty, but... *shrugs*
Also there was 'oh look, random black person!' '... oh, dead now'.
Which, you know, gets annoying.
When Arthur and Merlin were practicing together I thought I recognised the shot from when it was Rebecca and Amanda. Any other opinions? this mentions they found the castle because "a director friend mentioned a chateau he had shot on Highlander at Pierrefonds just north of Paris". But obviously that doesn't necessarily mean it's the same shot I'm thinking of. Are there a lot of big pointy castles just outside Paris?
Now I can't find the Highlander photo I'm thinking of. It's on the other computer... I think... somewhere. And I could go get the DVD. But obviously sitting here wondering about it instead is much more interesting. :eyeroll:
So, yeah, anyway. That's what I thought. Along with 'why don't they just make him use a plain one' and 'but shields get chopped all to hell, you can see it on the closeups, he'd never keep one the whole time' and 'yaay Merlin, you save the oppressor and contribute to the bad reputation of magic once more'.
Right. Sleep time.
