Doctor Who audio adventures = fun.
Nov. 26th, 2008 04:23 pmSo today I wrote an email to Big Finish to explain why, despite considerable enthusiasm, I'm finding it difficult to buy audios from them. Basically their web page is confusing. There's a section called '8th Doctor adventures' but it took me quite some time to realise this was not where they'd collected all the 8th Doctor's adventures. Since I feel this is a reasonable mistake that any newbie could make, I pointed this out to them. Also I understand why they've numbered their CDs 1 to 112 sequentially by when they released them, but it do become confusing when you first realise that not only does 112 not immediately follow on from 111, it's quite possibly later than 113. Or earlier than 28. and I realise this is a hazard of time travel stories. But they couldn't just have pages that put the stories in story order?
So after sending that email I poked the website until I found an 8th Doctor I don't got yet, and put that in the bag...
... and then saw Turlough vs werewolves right next to it and bought that.
Ah. Yes. So there's several ways in which their method makes sense.
I have today moved a collection of data CDs (which I know I haven't touched for at least 2 years) off the conveniently CD height shelf (which was actually that height for fitting baby food on, but is marvellous precise nonetheless) and replaced them with my Doctor Who and Sarah Jane Adventures and Torchwood audio collection. It's, er, well, it needs a shelf to itself already. I have put them in order of which Doctor is in them. I will probably think of a different order later.
I cannot fit some of them on that shelf because for some reason they're in a DVD size wrapper instead. and I can't even put them in on the short side cause it's too tall. so I'll have to think of something else.
