Dishwasher
Feb. 17th, 2009 07:53 pmwhy do devices get cranky all at once?
So, now the dishwasher has new and interesting difficulties.
For a while it wasn't being very clean, so I took it apart to try and clean it better, scrubbed at the filters to little effect, bought one of those Dishwasher Cleaner! bottles, and let that run this afternoon. That seemed to work okay. So after that, I ran it again, just to clean out the cleaner fluids.
... problem.
It didn't stop dishwashering. I thought it was running a bit long, but shrugged and went away. Then I noticed it had still been going for an hour after I'd had that thought. Oh *dear*. So I went and poked the wheel around a notch, and it started clicking along happily and heading for the end of the wash cycle. It finished in very few minutes after that.
I opened the door, and the insides were very liberally coated with fuzzy washer bubbles. Also, the rinse aid has entirely run out. I don't think it was run out before. I think it was pumping it in for that whole hour at least.
*facepalm*
So now I'm leaving it to debubble itself, and wondering what will happen if I dare put any plates in this alchemical oddity. Sure, it might wash them, but it might also hold them to ransom and make the swoosh swoosh noises for days.
argh.
On the plus side, I am going out for food, in about an hour. No plates required.
And tomorrow the cleaner will be here.
The food will not unless I go order it now. Thing is I mostly have food, I just ran out of fruit juice. Do I want to do a whole order to get fruit juice? Not so much. And I'm mostly going to be away between then and next order.
So, cleaner will be here, can do some cleanering without benefit of dishwasher, I can call the repair people when I get back from the convention, I can be calm about this now.
*sigh*
