I have absolutely no need for that much storage, but I do have the warm happy glow of living in the future.
It is currently storing the Doctor Who files I keep on my laptop. Once I am sure it works, and have backed up my college files to... hmm, the fith different place? Then I'll turn the desktop computer on and start backing up that.
At some point I will have a pocket sized hard drive containing every Doctor Who episode I don't already have on DVD.
... remind me again why we buy DVDs?
I wonder if this thing can plug in to my recorder box? Then I could copy a ton of stuff off the TV real easy. My recorder box is only 160Gb.
... *blinks* ...

See, this living in the future stuff, it is cool.
Also today I took my ergonomic keyboard in to the shop because apparently they really *don't* make them like they used to and no replacement is possible. So they'll have a go at fixing it. I don't expect much.
The new monitor was not there, so my clunky living in the 90s big box of flicker will be used a bit longer. The smallest available monitor was bigger than my first three televisions. Not put together. Just... that's quite a lot big. It's rather nice.
I did not buy one with a built in webcam. Partly because the more bells and whistles there are in one box the more ways there are for that box to go wrong, partly because the idea the TV can look at me is one of those recurring nightmares. I want a really noticeable and unpluggable item that can be covered up with no messing up other stuff if I want a webcam at all.
After the shopping trip there was bowling.
I won! Yaay me!
And we learned about the secret button on the bowling machine that makes the pins stand up again when the stupid machine knocks them down and gets stuck.
And did I mention I won?
I like it when that happens.
Then we went and looked in the leisure center.
Lots of very healthy muscular people were using a very crowded gym.
I'm wondering where/when I can find a handful of more me shaped people using a mostly empty gym. That sounds like more fun. All those people today seemed to be taking exercise seriously. Weird.
I learned that for the purposes of gym membership I, as a student, am a Junior.
For the purposes of Karate classes I am a senior.
... somehow, both these things are *facepalm*
After that I went home via supermarket so I have much citrus juice again.
