Torchwood: Children of Earth: Day Two

and :-D
So the gang's all here, Andy turned up and was a bit brilliant, Rhys has expert skillz in his field, the new lady Lois is shiny and Gwen is all *can has?*, and Ianto's family are also pretty excellent. I love how they messed up the surveillance. Dangerous, yeah, but, you can so see it.
Ianto?
Best. Boyfriend. Ever.
... no has hug? No has naked hug? What's with that?
... possibly has naked in the back seat together for better getaway speed. Okays.
We were promised naked Jack by JB at a convention, so when he turned up all burnt to a frazzle and screaming I was all 'you bastard!' because yeah, also naked. Skinless is naked.
But no, we can has! Happy now. In total shallow ways.
That was good though, with the making us scared about Jack. Also really really gross. Also I'm currently wondering how many other pieces of him grew again. I mean, do we only get one Jack? Logic says, or someone would have noticed and there'd be much more Jack because clearly he is that good. But... fanfic? Yaays.
So he got blown up, and then woke up before he was healed, and that's scream and cringe and bad enough. But then with the concrete? Aaaagh!
And then with Ianto.
And a forklift truck!
Brilliant.
I love how they feed us backstory clues with our plot goodness. Where he broke his leg? Oh noes! Oh, accidents. But leaving you to wonder.
Is good stuff.
Did I mention Ianto was brilliant?
So now the gang's all here, the setup is done, and we wait for tomorow for the Very Bad Thing to turn up. Except so far? We have no proof it's even a little bit Bad Thing. So far the humans are the Bad. I find this a good sign. Very Torchwood.
I love how there's funny mixed in with the action. Rhys and Gwen and joking about on huge great stack of potato. That's not something I've seen before. And it is rather good.
... naked Jack!
... yes I'm going to be randomly thinking that for quite some time...
Horror, and yet hotness.
... again, very Torchwood.
Must wait until tomorrow again. :-(
... I'm rapidly sold on this 'five nights a week' bit, even if it did mean me seeing messy fake human insides on Holby City which I usually try to avoid.
Waiting a whole week for the next one? Would not be as fun.
More tomorrow! :-)
