Agoraphobe keep fit
Aug. 20th, 2009 06:53 pmOkay, so, I'm no longer as much of a hermit as I used to be, but still, the suggestion that I get fit by going for walks? Not so much working. In Norwich there would at least be places to walk to - Dereham is made mostly of charity shops and the big gap where Woolworths used to be - but the moving to Norwich is complicated by the way nobody has replied to my emails at all even though their presence on the House Exchange suggests they want to move. I'll have to use the phone. Blah. ANYway, not going to Norwich, not going to the yoga and meditation and all other things advertised in Norwich. There are things in Dereham but I've been persistently not going to them for years. So. Need new plan.
I need a plan where I get fit without leaving the house.
... this probably involves giving my sofa away. I don't even have floor space at the moment. But getting my sofa and my giant computer desk to go away is in fact in the plan already. The sofa never did what I wanted it to and now it is impossible to sit on cause you slump into a curve in the middle of it whether you like it or not.
So assuming I have some floor space, what should I do with it?
I like dancing but if there's only me it's a lot less fun.
I can't do sword exercises or I make dents in the ceiling. Not that you can really tell. Textured surface for the win.
Maybe I could get a dancing game. Or a wii fit? Are they good? I know a lot of people who bought them but I don't know if they got fit from them.
My current plan of sitting up several times before I get up in the morning isn't exactly going to be massively helpful. *sigh*
Really I should do the plan that involves leaving the house more. But.
