beccaelizabethPaul Cornell has a new TV Pilot on tonight, and he's all excited. I read his blog, I met him at conventions, I emailed a couple times, and he seems nice and I like his TV that I've seen. So I was going to watch it.
But the Radio Times says there's surgery scenes. Medical is difficult enough, but icky slicey surgery scenes the tele paper is warning you for... soooooo not going to watch that.
... and now I find myself feeling guilty about it. Usually I could just not watch a thing that isn't my thing, but reading the writer be all hopeful about it makes it not just viewer-to-text but viewer-to-author-and-text, and a whole different feel.
Fanfic is kind of like this sometimes too. I read it because it's on my f-list and then feel vaguely guilty if I don't like it.
With books I don't 'know' the authors of I just grumble. Or yaay. Or whatever. But I do it here on my blog and don't feel particularly like the author is in the loop anywhere.
Which is odd, really.
... all I'm coming up with for a punchline is *big shrugs* so...
