another convention anxiety dream. this time I was in the autograph line and I got all the wrong pictures out and tried to get things signed by people that weren't famous and forgot to get my con booklet signed at all. And also someone pulled the fire alarm and everyone had to leave, but the fire exit signs all had arrows pointing the wrong way so it was like a total maze running around a huge building. Which turned out to be school like, and full of washing machines, and... well, after that it just piled on the everyday but scary.

Also, mostly guests were from SGA, but there was Beckett from BUGS there. And I talked to him like he was the character not the actor.

Which was about when the whole tone of the dream changed so yeah actually he was the character, but there was mortifying embarrassment nonetheless.


Since when do I get convention anxiety?
Why do I not get convention bouncy?

only a few more weeks before Highlander convention with Peter Wingfield. yaaays!

I really need to pack. Or at least think packing like thoughts.

but instead I'm all wore out and waking at 3pm from stupid running around dreams.

I can now stop feeling quite so annoyed I paid money for this season. 4th season goes downhill sharply. It was when they got to 'its a 6th century plague, maybe we should use 6th century methods' that I turned off the episode in the middle. I mean *facepalm* much? Its supposed to be high tech science fictiony stuff! Undoing a curse by the original method would make sense, but a plain old bacterial plague? For that you need antibiotics.

I'm only 12 minutes into the episode, I'll go back and finish watching him.

BUGS season 4 is *very very bad*

all that stuff I said about season 1 of BUGS and the feminist stuff?
season 4 systematically wrecks it.
Ros is made out to be stupid (signed over her inventions without reading the contract)
and in this episode I'm trying not to watch Jan, the boss, is running to a pshrink after someone dies, because 'I don't like myself any more, I've become hard!'

*headdesk* *headdesk* *headdesk*

They've taken characters that were just getting on with their jobs in competent fashion and turned them into backlash stereotypes.

Yup, hate it.

sad, because the first two seasons were fun, the third was okay except for the kissing parts, but the fourth just totally wrecked it.

actually, if there was a DVD set out right now, I'd probably buy it. Because not only do I like it, but parts of my f-list have gone nuts about it too. So, good chance I'll like it.

mind you, parts of my f-list are all fannish about Stargate Atlantis, and I kind of stopped watching that. I mean I didn't up and storm out of the fandom or anything dramatic and decision involving, I just have downloaded eps and no inclination to watch them. *shrugs*
