Lindsey+hand, both under contract?

I had the thought:
Lindsey will turn up at the hell office now he's dead, for he was under contract.
But what about Lindsey's hand? What if that went there first?
Then it would be running around like Thing for years, and suddenly have a body back that thought it belonged to it.
Not so much evil hand issues as semi independent vaguely Lindsey like hand with the self control of a small puppy.
Funny!


And, you know, vastly disturbing implications. Visions of people in wheelchairs getting to heaven and finding their legs already been having a whale of a time, running around a bit like that bit in bedknobs and broomsticks but more anatomical.
And I don't even want to think about eunuchs.

Plus what about baby teeth? Everyone loses a whole set of teeth.
What if that is what the tooth fairy is about? Not so much taking the physical tooth, but safely removing the little bitey haunting?




My brain is deeply, deeply strange.


Also last night I slept between about 1800 and about 1100, which is a lot of sleep, with a food break in the middle.
And then I had a dream where I was eating butter knives. They were sort of soft like butter too, and easy to eat. But I was very hungry for them, so I ate almost all my knives, and had to sort of shave a slice along the last one, so it got sharp and I ate half of it.

I think my subconscious thinks I'm short of iron...

Giles in Restless

Every time I watch Restless I pull more detail out of it. It is a very fun episode.

I know there are a bunch of transcripts, but are there any transcripts of the commentary? Because Joss always says interesting things.
(There's a page that turns up with I google Buffy commentary transcripts, but it doesn't seem to actually have anything on.)

About Giles this time he says

Giles here, his biggest problem is that he can't decide who he wants to be, he can't decide, you know, should he be going off being a father and living a real life

This after saying the whole world is this silly vampire carnival. The vampire worls is silly and being a father is 'real life'? I thought the dream came out way more layered than that. Is fun.

Also, there's a big elephant made of plant and covered in fairy lights. I've temporarily forgotten the word for things made of plant. But I find myself amused by elephants. Mostly because of this fic I've written in rough draft but not posted because its not terribly good yet. I should make that shiny, and then everyone else can be the same amused by presence of elephant in that dream.

I like the story about the blind men and the elephant.

Of course the big plant thingy could be not-an-elephant, because of being a plant, and kind of abstract.


Dream sequences would be much easier to write if we didn't already have canon on what his dreams look like. This and Dark Age together and trying to match them. Much easier to just make stuff up.

... except this would be why writing fanfic is fun, so I'm not really sulking ...



Somewhere outside my building there's an alarm bell going off. I do not know why. It is annoying.

Ripper: 3 visual challenges

What few images from the BtVS series would you use to show off Giles for the Ripper spin off? Not cool lines, more the kind of thing that goes in the opening credits, picture moments. Exactly like what they used for BtVS? Or different?

What symbol would you put on the video set? Buffy has the heart on fire, or the heart and stake. Angel has those cool wings. What about Ripper?

What font would you use? Buffy has that splashy looking brushstroke thing, Angel has pointy bits that disappear, what font for Ripper?
