Now *that* is a holosuite story.
And the first time I haven't wanted to just ignore that Vic Fontaine character.

Is also the kind of thing you can do on a long running show and have it work a lot deeper - Nog has been around a long time, so he's got a lot of story to draw on and work with. It's very cool.




Now I am reminded that I should probably stop watching TV some time tonight.
Also maybe make more of that 'leave house at some point' plan.
(Thursday. Travel. I do not look forward to it. In fact I've been ignoring it very hard. This is not very practical.)

some couples aren't so much slashy as clearly married.

Even aside from that, this was fun.
Except for - why would they bother inventing a cure? I mean, really. They want to wipe all of that lot out, and their biology is so different it don't make anyone else ill, so why bother?



Also, of course - if Julian is willing to lie and use illegal technology and get a guy killed and go stomping around in his mind and all that sneaky stuff... how is he not doing exactly what they do?
Well, because he's doing it to save lives.
... like the whole win the war plan.

Less fun is the whole 'genetically enhanced' bit - granted it wasn't a get out of jail free card, and given that they spin this tech out of thin air in the first place it isn't exactly of the bad to make him able to invent stuff on the spot, but, well, it can get a bit much.


On the other hand all that I was saying at the end of s6 about the soap balance being off has been well and truly fixed. Lots of relationships, yes, but all sorts of arse kicking too. And politics all over the place. Likes it!
