Feb. 22nd, 2008 05:14 pmI woke up at roughly the right time, though it did take me most of an hour to actually surface.
I got ready all properly.
Car turned up on time.
Got to library, did more reading.
Still hadn't read all those pages by the time I got to the library. Discovered I can't stick my brain to a task for more than 45 minutes. TV has broked it?
Went to class. Lesson plan no longer accurate, this lesson will now be in week 5. Okays. So instead we research Dada. I know how to do that. I found many library books and also some gaps where the librarian thought books should be and then I looked in books and found things out. And, okay, the most useful ones were the Art Dictionary stack, but I did look in bigger books as well. And we answered the questions and found good pictures and stuff.
Then there was a fire alarm.
I realise in case of fire I'm supposed to just stand up and leave, but I'm not leaving my laptop unless I can see the flames. Besides, it's stand up with laptop in hand, basically.
So then there was standing around outside a bit. Boring. Best sort of fire alarm really.
Then by 1530 we were all done. We've got to do a presentation on Wednesday with each of us telling the class a bit about Dada. I said I'd talk about the ideology. I looked up nihilism so I can now make whole sentences about it. Or at least my computer can. I love my talking computer, it doesn't require existence of brain-mouth connection for me to do work.
... I do not love discovering the sound is waaay too loud when my computer talked in the library. Librarians and random computer users stared at me. Oops.
I'm not sure I love being all done by 1530. I mean if the lessons is meant to go to 1600 how much lessons is we missing? But we seem to learn a whole bunch of stuff too.
Also amusing: Someone told someone in our class that everyone in the other class fancies our teacher. He is sex symbol. In a stripy jumper. *shakes head* Him embarrassed now.
Then I went to the library and finished the damn reading. Blah. I'm sure there's more I could usefully read before next week, but I can do other things with a clear conscience.
... 2-07 subtitles aren't up yet. Reckon 'other things' will include Torchwood soon as they are though...
Car home involved usual traffic issues with some sitting still on a two lane motorway. Got to love that. But then I'm home and now I'm just tired. Don't have any to-do until Wednesday. Win.
